I thought I would join the party too. I don't know if they are actually 'pretty' but a couple of my sarracenias have caught me out early this year and are even now in flower. The yellow one is S. flava and the dingy brown one is S. purpurea. As I did not do a controlled pollination I have no idea what the daddy of any resulting seeds will turn out to be. Sarras are rather promiscuous (except me ) but these are rather unusual in early July.

Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

Are they hardy? Or in a greenhouse? I like them!

They are hardy IP. I usually give them their first winter under glass and then on they are OK. Was a bit worried when we had a bad February this year but they were fine. You will def. be OK in Devon unless you are at the top of Exmoor.

Ooh can I join in please. Having totally ignored my clematis plants this year ( I usually pamper them like mad). I was astonished to notice this week that it seems they no longer need my help.

Is that last one a clematis? Can I ask what variety, we're planning on putting on in and that's stunning!

Yes, I'd like to know too .. all the blue ones I've planted are actually purple

I have bought several "blue" clematis plants, but have never had truly blue flowers on any of them. I have had them in acid soil, as I thought, like so many other plants, the blue colour might be intensified, but still, like TS remarks, they have always had a purplish colour.
