    Hi

Has anyone grown this amazing climber. I have seen it overseas
and have decided to give it a go this summer. I has fabulous huge
white flowers with the most gorgeous scent at night. I fear though that it will
not appreciate our unpredictable summers and sulk!

Ive not grown this variety as I have one of its cousins its called bindweed lol. I do like to grow the coloured varieties of morning glory as they are very pretty.

Hi Shyushkin. I have also ordered a few seeds to see if I can grow this nocturnal type of morning glory. As Herbie says, the coloured types are incredibly beautiful. Last year I grew Heavenly Blue and Purple Haze. Had blooms from both. Started them off indoors then planted out at the end of May. Even then they struggled to take off. Very tender plants and need to be kept away from frosts. Enthusiasts say they do best in poor soil and need little if any fertiliser.

I've grown the heavenly blue ipomea as an indoor climber in the greenhouse before. Loads of flowers lasting one day only, but found the flowers had a tendency to stick to the glass.
Scented version does sound interesting though!

I find my self-sown Morning Glories do much better than the ones I carefully nurture in pots.

A nocturnal one sounds interesting (Evening Glory?) let us know how you get on.
