  • I'm rubbish

not very good with garden plants. Does anyone know what this is? Don't remember it being in garden last year and this year it's trying to take over. Can't even remember if it had any flowers on it! Would like to put a name to it so I can offer it to people when I dig some of it out.

    Sorry not the best photo

I'm much the same SP but looking at the runners, it looks like some kind of buttercuppy type plant..........I'm sure I'll be miles off the mark.

Is it a type of creeping geranium ? Think I have it to.

It certainly looks more like a geranium than a buttercup

I know it as Mother of Thousands but when I Giggled it that name is attached to a succulent. It is really a house plant and grows leaves on leaves on leaves and so on. If you take a mature leaf with baby leaves on it it will root if laid on the soil. If you get a hard winter it will probably kill it.

PS It has insignificant white flowers on lying stems a bit like Heurcha.

I have one of them too - can't remember the name but, as Roitelet says, it has insignificant flowers on long spikes, looks a bit like a Heuchera and grows little baby leaves above the main leaves.
Will rack my brains for the name

To redeem myself, I think it's Piggyback plant (Tolmiea menziesii).

Thanks everyone. That's great to put a name to it. Piggyback plant is a cool name too, very fitting. Makes it much easier to dump it on someone else . I may get carried away and dig the lot out . I need to make space for all the flower seeds I'm getting for next year.

Don't worry Aberdeenplotter, I've already got a couple of victims lined up
