There is a rose called Golden Wedding but that might be too obvious.

I bought the Golden Wedding rose for my aunt and uncle who assure me it's fab. Had it sent to them last December and they had flowers this year!

Most peeps like roses. My mum is very hard to buy for but she loved her rose for mothers day. If you do t fancy a rose maybe a apple tree? Or something that flowers the month of their anniversary?

If something that can get larger what about the buddleia 'Sungold'

There are quite a few golden wedding name plants https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/Search...de=true&page=0

I think golden chain tree (laburnum) is worth considering as well

Abutilon suntense or Romneya coulteri are both lovely plants that are a little less frequently found, though not rare enough to be a pain to source. With a little protection in winter, they are beautiful, largely trouble free plants.
Or a nice salvia. They take so easily from cuttings, your loved ones could easily expand their collection from one plant and spread the love around the garden for years to come. I love 'Amistad' (sp?). Have a look Dysons Nurseries - Home of Salvias for inspiration, though they sadley don't do mail order.

Thanks to all of you who answered as it is for a small garden and a couple who are unable to do much gardening though love to have pots and baskets about, I purchased a standard rose, Golden Wedding,(if my wife gives me the money I would buy one for her also)
Some of the other suggestions were good I have never came across the fuchsia golden wedding so must try and find out what it looks like, as for daffs I would have to find some one to plant them.
So grateful thanks to you all
