  • Growing hyacinths in vases - a few questions

I've bought some prepared bulbs and some of those special vases. I've seen in a magazine that you need to chill them for 6 weeks, somewhere like a shed (although our living room seems cold enough to me!).

I'm unsure as to whether I need just to stick them in the shed in the paper bag they're currently in, or whether I need to put them in the vases with water.

I also have some without vases, which I'm going to put in a pot. Again, the same question for these. Do I put them in the pot before putting them in the shed?

Chill them in the salad drawer of the fridge, but if you've bought "prepared" bulbs, you don't need to chill them, it's been done for you
