  • Geranium going downhill

And it looks like yet another bought plant is going down that slippery slope. A hardy purple flowered geranium planted in terracotta pot with high quality nursery grade general plant compost ( not multipurpose) as you can see the leaves are going red and the plant is getting smaller. No idea why.

They're old leaves - they always change colour. I've just given mine a haircut - cut off the flowers and old leaves back to the new leaves in the centre. Hopefully, they'll have a second flush of flowers now.

        That made me laugh, marb
I love the hardy geraniums. I have one which trails everywhere, it climbs up into shrubs and tries to take over! I have to take shears to that one in autumn
They don't mind some shade either

          Haircut and a bigger pot.

They're usually bombproof. f you plant it out you'll probably complain about it over-running everything!
