Default Fuschia Problem?

Hi,

I planted a fuschia in a corner of my garden about a month ago.

It seems to be doing ok and has plenty of blooms and flower buds, but the leave right at the bottom of the plant have started turning yellow and falling off.

Is this a problem or natural? What can I do to correct it?

Thanks

Mat.

Hello Mat, no it's not normal for the leaves to turn yellow and fall off. Sounds as if it's either too wet or too dry. I would check that first. If the leaves are yellow and crispy it's probably dry.

If you got it from a garden centre it may be that it wasn't getting the TLC that you'll give it Mat. Just keep your eye on it for a week or so & don't let it get too stressed with the sun (if it ever comes back!)
