        Stem looks like a geranium - leaf could be a hollyhock though - or a mallow- only the flower will tell!

          Or a common mallow. If it is, the roots go down a VERY long way.
          The flowers on them are a beautiful pinky lilac colour and the bees love it.

                    I don't think it's a fig. I can see the leaves look a bit like that but the stem doesn't and figs don't grow very fast. If that's just this summer's growth, I'm sure it must be something else.

                        Sorry but can only say it does not look like a fig or a mellow. Not too much help but I like Piskie's answer

                          My first thought was mallow, but the leaves are too big, as ^^ said. The leaves don't get much bigger than the blooms do they?

                          It's not a hollyhock either, nor a geranium (which don't grow tall, or that big).


                          If it appeared suddenly and grows quickly, it's a weed.
