  • Bronze foliage plant suggestions please

As the title says, I would like some bronze (ish) foliage plant suggestions please. All I have at the moment is carex, bronze fennel, heuchera and bupleurum longifolium. It can be flowers or shrubs.

    Many thanks as always

I have a rather boring shrub - name unknown - grown from a cutting from a friend who used it in flower arranging. The leaves are green on top and goldy bronze below.
I'll go walkabout and see if its photogenic today!

Bronze is an alloy of Copper and Zinc methinks. How about copper beech?

Ive got a couple of flax-phormiums that can be classed as "bronze". They stand all ŵinter so you've got some colour all year. Ive got something else too, it's died back, I think it begins with a P...carpus or something
All the Christmas drinks have gone to my head!

Physocarpus (ninebark)? Never come across them before, some really gorgeous variations of them

There are some bronze leaf hostas. I have one with really big leaves, label long gone unfortunately.

Are they the ones they forgot to water?

No, I buy all the stuff they forget to water at a knock down price.

They weren't dead, they were outdoors, watered, and the leaves were shiny with a lovely bronze sheen. I looked for any that had been reduced, but wouldn't pay £7.00 for them, although they were probably worth it.

Here's my unknown shrub. You can see the contrast between upper and lower leaf face but not the bronze/gold colour

If anyone can name the shrub I'n be grateful

I've had a walk around my garden..trying to remember what ive got! Probably more on the red rather than bronze side but there are some dogwoods that may fit your bill. Ive also got a oak leaf hydrangea that has a bronze colour leaf. Cotinus is also worth a look, ive a few a deep burgundy ones a lime/bright yellow one and also a paler reddy/brown one that may be float your boat...but I don't know what variety it is!
