  • border suggestions for summer colour

Hi all, looking for a some suggestions for filling gaps in a border. It's in full sun for a few hours each day only.

Looking for plants about 3 feet in height with maximum spread and maximum colour for as long as possible during summer. Soil is clayish but I can work on that.
    Are y'oroight booy?

I've got a flower bed with very similar conditions - clay with partial sun. The taller flowers which have done well there, and which flower for ages, are alstromeria (apollo), salvia micrphylla (trewithen cerise), verbena bonariensis, canterbury bells and foxgloves.

Nepeta - catmint - pale lilac flowers all summer and will fill a big gap quickly.
        Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
        Endless wonder.
