  • Who Knew.

For the last week or two I have been finding some of my plums on the ground with bits taken out of them.
At first I thought it was slugs until I looked out the window this morning and saw two magpies munching away at them.
I wouldnt have thought magpies would eat plums.
Anyway, they are harvested now, a little under ripe but at least theyre safe.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Probably for the best Bramble - it will be drunk, angry wasp time soon and they love plums!

I'm not even fond of sober chilled wasps as it happens!

I sometimes lose a few plums to squirrels - I think its the seeds they are after, not the flesh of the fruit.
