  • What a lucky girl I am!

My hubby is going to rotavate a patch of ground for me so that I can have a dedicated fruit bed area. My currant (get it? LOL) veggie garden cannot cope with the blackcurrants, gooseberries and raspberries - just think of the extra veggies that I could grow instead Bless my hubby When the area has been rotavated, I shall lightly fork in a load of well rotted horse manure and compost, cover it with a tarp and leave it until the autumn when I shall then move my fruit bushes/canes. The new area is near a water-butt to which I can attach some irrigation pipes - so all looking brill.
    Just think happy thoughts

Lovely! Although I predict you will still run out of room

Brilliant. It will be great to have a separate fruit area and more space for your veggies
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

        Lucky girl, you are.
It all sounds marvellous! Not that I'm at all envious, of course ...!!
