I am also in the SE and looking for a grape vine to grow outside. I found the article below very interesting.

I also like the sound of the strawberry grape but unfortunately have no experience in growing vines. Would be very interesting to hear people's views.

yes thats an interesting article , thinking of trying lakemont, I have an italian friend in north london he grows a vine that tastes like strawberry havent tried it but am going back in the next few weeks to swap a cherry I grafted for a fig that fruits very well and tastes good and try his grapes he said they fruit very well and they did look good a month ago when I saw them

just jumped the gun a bit bought lakemont £11.50inc del from nemesia.co.uk, grafted plant seemed like a good deal

By all accounts Lakemont seems to be a very good choice, but I would be interested to know how the strawberry grapes taste?!

tasted the strawberry grape at last but there had not been enough sun and it hadnt developed very well small and sweet but just a normal grape taste wont be planting this one as I think it needs a conservatory
