    Strawberry Plants

    Hiya

    I bought a few Strawberry plants, didn't get much fruit but I have just looked at them and they are very green. This is my first time growing them, will the plants grow fruit next year?
    I also have them in strawberry pots, can i take them out and plant on my allotment?

    Any advice welcome .

    Yes to both,plants usually last three or four years before deteriorating,you plant up the runners in mid to late summer to get replacement plants.I personally wouldn't move your plants now,but they will need protection from frost if they're in pots rather than the ground.

        Anytime Now is OK Lozza. I was given some on Friday so they went straight in - homgrown Strawbs Yum yum

          Trouble with keeping them in pots over winter is that you have to remember to water them just enough, not too much.

          If the ground isn't frozen and you want to plant them in the garden or the lottie, I would do it now.
