Strawberry flowers with no petals - should they be removed?
Wind and rain over the last few weeks has taken off many of the petals from my strawberry plants. Some of the flowers are completely without petals. Should these flowers be removed to make way for new ones or will they still produce strawberries?
They might have dropped their petals as they have already been pollinated. Petals are not part of the pollination process, they are merely there to attract pollinators. I'd leave they be.
