Default Strawberries in pots

Hi - had sort of forgotten about two strawberry plants in two pots and noticed them today! there are roots coming out of the bottom of the pots...am happy to put somewhere in the ground...but is it worth it? There does seem to be a bit of new growth...! Not familiar with strawbs, but advice appreciated!

Thanks, D

They will carry on forever in pots and do just as well planted afterwards. The yeild may not be as high but I've had plants in pots for 3 years or more before planting.
