Default Raspberries

My Raspberries are taking off, with lots of shoots coming out from the main stem and are getting higher by the day. There are plenty of young fruits on them. I was wondering if i should be reducing the amount of stems, as the bushes seem to be getting very large. These plants are in there second year and seem much more vigorous than last year. Im new to gardening and would be grateful for any advice thanks. jc .jh

Sounds to me like you may have a summer fruiting variety.

Yes, raspberry bushes are fairly big, and will get bigger every year. Here's a good page on rasps: How to plant raspberries with pictures - page 2
