You could get a crop from autumn fruiters this year but summer fruits will be next year.

In summer they will come through, or there might be some coming through now or you might have some from last year. It is not the main plant but little off-shoots.

What is the best way to use my raspberry prunings to get new plants?

Stick them straight into the ground, or leave them in water for a while? Or something else.

i used hardwood cuttings and offshoots and the offshoots are starting to grow away in the g/house (in 5ins pots) and am waiting on the cuttings,i dug up the offshoots when digging over the veg patch,as the raspberries are planted against the wall.all along the veg patch,no wasted space....
