| They def do have a good year followed by a poor year. You could try thinning the fruit in a good year so it has more energy to put in the following year and this should help to even it out. Also last year's weather was rubbish for plums! |

| Some plums, like some apples, are effectively biennial fruiters. I think they just need a rest between performances. If yours is one of these varieties you can't do much about it. (except buy another tree)
