  • Oulins Golden Gage, What do they taste like?

Planted the above tree as a 2 year old bare root in Winter 2014/15
Last year there was a few fruit and the wasps ate them.
This year(last week), as they were getting bigger and looking good (all 7 of them), I decided to surround each fruit with a thin plastic bag to protect them from the wasps.
    Easy really
I have just been up there and there are 2 (two) left, 5 have gone, bags as well.
Can't be peeps, must be Squirrels.
I need to rescue the last 2--got to go!
Feed the soil, not the plants.
    (helps if you have cluckies)

Taste nice, had a tree of it years ago.
I actually cut it down and cannot think why. It may have been a big tree to start with and simply got too big to move.
Also have the idea that it started to bear every other year, so I got nothing then loads.
