  • Melons

Hello. I need some advice (again!) I am growing melons for the first time. I planted 6 seeds ,all germinated and now I have 6 healthy plants with loads of flowers on.They need repotting and I wondered whether a flower bucket would be ok.Can I put 2 in one bucket do you think? I have them in a 5 shelf plastic greenhouse at the moment as my glass greenhouse is full. Would it be better to put the pots on the bottom shelf and train them up? Or put one per shelf (and 1 with 2 on) and let them trail?

They are Antalya F1 galia melons.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

I would put them in a bucket each (I have 2 plants per growbag)....

I've got some Sweetheart being trained up a support system and some Ogen trailing on the ground, both seem to be doing quite well!

I've been getting a feather and hand pollinating the flowers, as I'm not sure how much insect activity there is in my polytunnel, given that it's been getting to 43 degrees in there recently!

Thank you. I shall put one per flower bucket then.
