| rite then...They grow best in warm, sunny sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil after working in plenty of organic matter. You do not need 2 plants as you can get one plant of a self-fertile variety. Each kiwi vine needs 3-4.5m of space. Mulch generously in spring and sprinkle a handful of general purpose fertiliser. Plants need a trellis or horizontal wooden rails/wires to grow on. Prune the Kiwi each winter and harvest the fruit on October onwards. Small fruit that doesn't ripen by autumn is usually due to growing in an insufficiently warm, sheltered, sunny spot. In a cold and exposed situation, grow the Kiwi on the south side of a wall. Anything else?? xxx
