  • Dying cherry tree - help

I my garden two years ago I planted a pot grown dwarf cherry tree. Close by is a dwarf Victoria plum. Last year the cherry grew well and provided me with a small number of delicious cherries. I hung cds when they began to rippen and that seemed to work. I was delighted this year when it bloomed beautifully and loads of cherries appeared. To my dismay one morning I noticed most of t he green immature cherries along with my first batch of plums gone. Birds I guess oh well try again next year and use more protection

Now I have a bigger problem. Most of the branches of the cherry seem to be unable to leaf. The flower clusters turned brown and cling to the branches. Any leaves that appear, disappear quickly. This morning I found an orange jelly like substance on one of the branchs. Can anyone give me some advice?

    Many thanks
    Kathy
