    couple of berry questions :)

    Ive got some goji berries in their first year in a massive pot should I bring it in over the first winter?

    Also Ive got a blueberry bush Ive got some amazing coloured leaves on there but no berries this year (I planted it mid last year) do I need another blueberry bush for them to cross pollinate? or is having one ok?

    Can I feed these 2 with grow more garden fertilizer?

    Gojiberries are sold as a hardy plant so should be fine, you could always place safe and pop some fleece over it. Some Blueberries need a pollinator, others are self fertile. Do you know what variety you have got.

      From everything Ive seen blueberries generally will produce berries with just one bush but do much better with two or three for cross pollination.

      I don't know anything about goji berries though sorry.

        Gojiberries survive the winter fine outside with no protection, at least in Nottinghamshire.

        Be warned though that for me they are very temperature sensitive and will decide to leaf out and even flower in winter or early spring if there is a week of mild weather. While this doesn't kill the plant it does make it waste energy growing leaves that won't survive.

        I've found it hard to get much of a yield of fruit from the plant because of that habit of only blooming at the wrong time. If you ard interested, supposedly the young shoots and leaves are also edible. I haven't tried them.

          Im not sure what type the blueberry plant is, I got it from the pound shop last year and didnt think to mark it up x

            Growmore is NOT suitable for blueberries. You need an ericaceous fertiliser, sometimes sold as suitable for heathers or Rhododendrons.
