| Hi just joined after reading mag for nearly a year, have a prob with the fact as a newy last spring I planted raspberrys all together and this year am strugling to get new growth, can I lift and split or will it do more dammage? and if I do anything when is a good time!!! help is needed |

| Hi Sally, you've got two choices. 1) As you've only got you can get 5 fence posts & dig the rasperries up & plant them 1 to each post & tie them to this or 2) You can trench about 8 ft long & 2 foot wide & 2 spades deep & dig in loads of muck then back fill a bit & plant them 18" apart & 9" from each end or there abouts then erect a T support either end & put strainign wireson this at about 18", 3ft & 5ft from the ground and tie the canes onto these to form a V shape with plent of air flow thru the row. depends how much fruit you want as to which method you go for.
