| If the melon was an F1 hybrid you will not get the same melons growing on it! I think you would be better buying a packet of honeydew melon seeds and setting them in the spring! ![]() If you are just thinking about sowing them now and using them as an interesting foliage plant I think they are a bit bland and boring and the overwintering light and temperatures would be a problem in this country? ![]()

| My cantaloupe melons, planted what seems like years ago, are just flowering now ao I strongly suspect there will be no fruit ripening this year! I agree with Snadger that they are not the most interesting of plants and look rather like a cucumber but trailing all over the ground. I think courgettes or pumpkins are more worthwhile in this country! |
