Hi there hopefully someone can help me,i have just moved to salisbury and really want to go bilberrie picking does anyone now where i could go.Im finding getting the info impossible on line.

Hi Loopylou, welcome to the Vine. Bilberries usually grow on moorland, so I guess there might be some on Salisbury Plain. Try asking your local tourist information centre. BTW, could you add your location to your profile please? -
Crikey, you've just reminded me of forays into the local woods as a youngster where bilberries seemed to thrive on dappled shade.
Alos remember picking them among the heather at my Uncles smallholding (he was a resevoir bailliff) but my fear of snakes, particularily adders, stopped me from gathering too many!
