    Hi there hopefully someone can help me,i have just moved to salisbury and really want to go bilberrie picking does anyone now where i could go.Im finding getting the info impossible on line.

    Hi Loopylou, welcome to the Vine. Bilberries usually grow on moorland, so I guess there might be some on Salisbury Plain. Try asking your local tourist information centre. BTW, could you add your location to your profile please?

      Crikey, you've just reminded me of forays into the local woods as a youngster where bilberries seemed to thrive on dappled shade.
      Alos remember picking them among the heather at my Uncles smallholding (he was a resevoir bailliff) but my fear of snakes, particularily adders, stopped me from gathering too many!
