Default Anybody tried growing Lingonberries/Cowberries?

I'd never heard of them before! They're on offer for subscribers at T&M and I like having some more unusual stuff in my garden. I can't find a lot of info about them though, other than that they're good with Swedish meatballs!

Anyone grown a cultivated one successfully? Was the fruit nice?

Lingonberries are similar in taste to cranberries, but are smaller and have a softer texture.

I've never grown any but ate them all the time when I lived in Scandinavia, where they are crushed with sugar or made into jam to accompany savoury foods, or used in desserts. Definitely good with meatballs and other meat or creamed wild mushroom dishes too. I'd be interested in growing some myself (and it would save me having to get Finnish friends to import them when they visit!).
