| could any of the more knowledgable amongst the vine please help me with this question. We have three gooseberry bushes that recently have been stripped almost bare by what i can only think is a sawfly infestation. As these plants are first year bushes and havent produced fruit. If i prune them will they come again next year or has the pests ruined them for good. Any answers gratefully recieved. Many Thanks Nigel |

| No they'll grow back OK Nigel. But yo'll need to make sure the little gits get whats coming to them next year or they'll strip it bare again.
