| As far as I know it's best to transplant when dormant. That said, I planted 5 new crowns around February time and only two are growing, so I clearly know very little about success with rhubarb!

| You split and replant around the start of November, when the plant is dormant, you will have to incorporate manure to enrich the soil. You can also leave the crowns on the surface to be frosted but it never gets cold enough now, so get them in and then in early spring top dress with compost/manure.
