Default Soft fruit bargains!

Hi all. Just got back from a wander round the local farmer's market. Bought some lovely local asparagus (as mine consists of two one-inch tall weedy looking bits) and some local free-range eggs. Also popped into Woolworths where they had just decided to reduce all their plants and shrubs to 25p each! I bought two blackcurrant bushes, a redcurrant, 2 rather ropey looking asparagus crowns (but they are alive), a clematis and a red mophead hydrangea (very healthy) - all for the princely sum of £1.50 BARGAIN!

I then went to Wilkinsons and got 2 black chokeberries for 50p each - dunno what they are so off to look them up now. No excuse for lack of berry juice now I hope!!

Will add the names of the various plants later as I am now out at Dad's messing up his emails

Default

Just remembered, all their fruit trees were half-price too. Was nearly tempted to buy a cooking apple but held off - Madmax would prolly wrap it round my head if I buy another apple tree for the garden!
