Bought three plants last year, all in smallish pots all were doing fine.

Recently a lot of the leaves have rolled up/gone tellow, the branches have become quite thorny.

Looks like they're dying but no idea why that would happen

Already have my blueberries mysteriously decide to stop living so won't be happy if they go the same way.

Can you tell us how you are looking after them, are they in or out, when compost are they in etc.

I know nothing about them, apart from Joe Swift last week intimating that they grow to be huge. Perhaps the pot is too small???

moon trial underway with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and calabrese.

They're just in multi-purpose, they were put in last year and have grown fine since. Had a little grow more slung in before but nothing else done to them.

Would small pots be a reason for something dying back?

All my gojis were growing, then frosted. Started to grow again.Looked as yours did.

gojis are best in a large roomy pot or ground and like sun, try to use rain water where possible, they may be water starved if pot to small as roots will demand more water and nutrients than the compost can hold. when repotting add some potash and bone meal around the soil near the top and add liquid grow more about once a fortnight. mine are doing well on this diet. re your blueberries thet need rainwater for the acidity and an ericaceous fertilizer for feed not a tom or veg and fruit feed and any form of animal manure is unsuitable, good sized pots are paramount again for growth. try to save them if you can good luck.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try re-potting with some extra nutrients.

Not sure how the blueberries will get on but will try a new pot, they've looked gone for a while now - seemed to be when the bad frosts came after it had started getting warmer.

I was meaning to update this.

I put one in the ground and the other two in larger pots with some manure pellets and bonemeal thrown in, they're all looking a lot better with nice green leaves.

Not quite sure what I'll do when they need even bigger pots as they're currently in the biggest I've got.

I've planning on moving next year so I don't want to 'waste' them all in the ground when fruit is still a long way off.

Yeah it was too late for the blueberries unfortunately. Possibly because of the size of the pots but I find some things just die whereas others grow like crazy. Right now almost everything is looking good except the raspberries which after producing shoots now look limp and the leaf edges are turning brown, second attempt with them after the first set of canes never got started.

are they in pots too, raspberrys like lots of water and should be planted about 3inches deep and spaced about a foot apart, ive cramed mine in a bit more than this and mine seem to be ok ive got mine in pots, but they only woke up about 2 and half weeks ago as planted them a bit late after breaking 3 ribs. give weekly feeds of liquid grow more as per directions on bottle usually one cap to 7 litres of water and in this weather daily water when sun gone in or in the morning to prevent leave scortch. ive been really luck only my nectrine tree had a problem with it got its leaves scortched even though not watered during the day, dont know if it will fruit now.

The raspberries are in what little open ground I have (a border). They were planted just over a month ago with plenty of bonemeal and manure and have had some seaweed extract.

I water daily at the moment (in the pm) but I've given them a severe soaking last night to see if it perks them up. Will give them some more seaweed extract tonight I think.
