    well rotted horse manure- where can i get it?

    Hello grapers, I have new plot i desperate need of some tlc! Wanted to cover it in cardboard and manure over winter, but there seems no show on a manure delivery on our allotment? Does anyone know where I can get hold of some well rotted manure in the leeds area, free if possible? Have no idea where to start, and there sems to be no one on the plot when I go to ask, as its only a wee one. Any ideas advice very gartefully received!

      I'm in LS8, harehills area, but my friend has a trailor so we could get to swillington one morning.

        You can't usually get well-rotted, you have to make it. Go find some stables (there are 3 within 5 miles of you)*, get some of their muck, stack it up and cover it for a year. Bob's your auntie.

          Have a ride out to Swillington, if you take a right @ Strikes garden centre (Swillington lane) there are some stables on your right. Their muck is pure black if you can get to the bottom. She closes the stables from november till april but am sure she will let you have some. The owners house is on the same land.
