Default GYO is the BEST!

I have to admit to purchasing another veg growing magazine (no names mentioned though!) I was curious you see.
No competition! Don't get me wrong it looks a good mag, but I found the articles difficult to understand (being a newby to all this growing stuff) and just couldn't get my head round it.
Roll on the next copy of GYO - excellent, up to date articles, and easily understandable as well!

I have also read that magazine, not as good as GYO but it is cheaper for my advertsing

I used to have KG but have stopped as I've said before. I used to buy Garden news as well but it's daft what you pay for that now.

Agreed here DDL & Snadger, GYO is definitely the best!

We tried another similar one, which was ok, but not as clear or easy to read as GYO, and another that was a bit more technical, far too much for us newbies!

It's interesting to compare the two forums, the KG one gets quite alarming at times, strong opinions and quite a lot of "shouting" and very offputting to newcomers.

I also chose GYO because I could understand it. I've looked at GW a couple of times sitting in various waiting rooms but got lost and had trouble finding articles for ads.

Always recommend GYO to those getting started. I was offered a copy at work recently by a patient who had finished with it. Being as I subscribe I made sure it went to a colleague who is just getting a couple of beds together at home. She was chuffed to bits. She found it easy to read and she is Polish.

I bet there aren't nearly as many opportunities for hilarity either. I often laugh my socks off reading through peoples posts on here (still gittering over Ugly gourd's skipping and pogo-ing comment!)

Oooh never been on their forum - maybe we could set up some kind of mamouth vegetable growing competition or something with them next year. Could be great fun, especially if they're competitive.

Probably best to leave it at that and move back to the isn't GYO a well written and useful magazine - it's the only one I'm subscribing to at the moment although do occaisionally have the odd flirtation with others - don't worry though they're just one night stands rather than full blown affairs!
