| No problemo nick - didn't know where it was except that it at the very least 350 miles from me - as are most of these large shows and it would appear, most of these type of courses - But I live in Scotland - in the Highlands - and I can drink staight from the tap, shoot, grow or catch my dinner all within 10 minutes of my house - and Scottish beer is, in my own humble opinion, miles better than the warm flat English stuff, - so I'll suffer - but maybe not in silence!!Rat |

| Ryton's about 20 mins from me as the cow flies (see our beer is good) and they ahve some good courses but usually midweek wich is a pain. The National Veg society held an all day course recently (£20 i think) but it was in London!!! It would be much better if they held it some where central as it would cost me another £30 to get to London ![]()

| I agree with that Andrew. It alwasy amazes me that National societies bleat about falling mebership and alway do things about as far away from everyone as possible. The NVS will do a roadshow to any society thats interested. It covers all things about growing veg (not just for showing). Thats how I came to join. If anyones interested in having one for their lottie site or gardening club PM me and I'll give you the address of the guy to contact.

| RHS Spring Flower Show, this coming weekend in Cardiff. I am just wondering if there may be a small corner for vegetable growers there? Now that would be nice. Chelsea is known as "The" flower show but Medwyn Williams and other veg growers always have a good display. You just don't always get to see the items to interest vegetable growers on the TV. Out of interest is anyone else going? I will be going on Monday. I will try to report back on all that I see. Jax |
