Default The Bodyflik

The October GYO on page 65 describes an ingenious item called the "Bodyflik" which removes up to 75% of surplus water from your body before you get out of the shower or bath.

I'm intrigued! Does it hurt? Anyone tried it? It looks like a boomerang! Can't imagine it going over the more sensitive parts of the body

Described it to OH who perked up and offered the comment that had we known about it when we were cycle camping we could have packed a flannel and not a towel and I might have got up the hills a bit quicker!

Seriously - anyone know if it is any good?

Hi Jennie - I put my name down for one of these as we do a lot of camping and thought it might save on wet soggy towels. I don't know how it works but it looks as though it could shave you at the same time

When i had my horse when i was younger i had something similar, so when my horse was really hot i would hose him off and then go over him with this sqeegee thing, it was really good and got off most excess water just leaving his hair slighly damp.

Not comparing anyone to a horse tho!!!!

Squeegying your bits sounds a bit dodgy to me. I'll continue to run round the garden like the dog does

Lol, when I saw this title Jennie, it put me in mind of that garage tune 'Body Groove'!

Does sound like a new dance doesn't it! Perhaps the name relates to the contortions of using it rather than the product ??

Has anyone actually GOT one of these contraptions? If so, how do you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10? DDL

I think I might buy one - I'm that intrigued. Will look quite good in OH's Christmas stocking!

I imagine you'd get some queer looks going into the showers on a campsite carrying a bodyflik

I noticed this in the GYO giveaways as well & couldn't figure out what it was at first but don't fancy standing in the bathroom freezing cold & scraping my bits with a chunk of plastic - give me a nice warm towel any day!
