Hi

I have a pond which produces strings of algae, wondering if anyone knows a use for this in the garden, maybe for crops or compost? It feels awaste to throw it away. I don't know if there are any nutrients in it at all.

I'd lay it around plants or put it on the compost

Put it in the compost bin. However, please pull it out of the pond and leave it by the side for a couple of hours before putting on the compost so that any pondlife caught in it can make it's way back to the pond.

You're right there rustylady I tend to leave mine next to the pond till the next day, its surprising how much stuff you see wriggling about in it.
