Default Fertilisers for veg

Should I have fertilised the potatoes that I planted a couple of weeks ago? And what with?

I have also planted some seeds, carrots, salad leaves, radishes and lambs lettuce-can I use Gro-more or Tomorite or something like that? Should I do it when i plant them or after?

I know what to do with my toms etc but these are things that i am growing for the first time.

I put a layer of Compost under my tats and then a sprinkle of Growmore. If you suffer from slugs you can add a cap of Jayes to a bucket of water then splash that over to kill the eggs.

Then other people also add lime at planting. I nomally give the Jayes and Lime a miss though.

Seed Compost will give up to six weeds feeding then I would water with Tomright. When planting out add compost and pelleted chicken manure and some growmore.

Potatoes and tomatoes are from the same family, Solanaceae, as can be seen by the foliage. Whatever fertiliser you use for one, you can use for tuther!
