Todays thought: How not to plan an allotment.

I thought it would be a good idea to draw up a plan of what I wanted to plant on my new allotment later in the year. However they still have n't confirmed the exact location of it. It was while I was trying to think of a planting plan that I realised I had never paid much attention to what veggies need to grow well. I know that the soil I will be planting in will probably light and sandy.

I seem to know which garden plants like sunny areas and which thrive in the shade, it seems...

My allotment is looking amazing at the moment; it has rows of healthy looking raspberry canes, two rhubarb plants that are thriving and two splendid apple trees form an arch over the path. The only snag is it only exists in my imagination and the reality will probably never look like the dream. The easy part was looking through the fence and thinking what I could do with a patch of earth within walking distances of my home. The reality will bite when I start caring for which ever patch I am allocated...
