.. all that I wrote yesterday must have caused a bad omen. Does anyone ever think that Gardening is more trouble than it's worth?

When I got home from work yesterday, I thought I'd go take a peek in the greenhouse to see if all was well as I'd been writing about all the nice green progress in there. What did I find?

I found that the frost from the night before had caused havoc. The grapevines were now droopy brown messes. Some tomatoes, including my most advanced tropical ruby (stood about 8 - 9" high) also brown and droopy, likewise peppers that had already started to set fruit.

Outside the two early lots of potatoes I'd planted, one in a black bucket and one in a potato bag had both been hit badly. They were growing so well that I'd already had to earth them over several times but they'd reached the top of the bucket and bag so I couldn't put more earth on.

Damn Damn Damn that's all I can say!!!!!!
