Got home at three this morning so lay in bed til 8. Then up and at 'em again. So much for the forecast torrential downpour - 2 hours light drizzle was all it amounted to !! However, did get quite a bit done today. Took down the windbreak netting from round my runner beans, dismantled 20 of the wigwams that had dead or dying plants on them and put the canes into storage, dug over some more of the recently vacated ground in the tunnel and transplanted radicchio, fleeced over my chilli plants that have been cut back for overwintering, moved two piles of pallets from A to B, served about 12 customers (unusual for a Saturday - normally pretty quiet at weekends), came home, had my tea , went out to take photos of a Golden Wedding Anniversary dinner in one of the local hotels, now I'm here and shortly I'm off to the club where I work as a bouncer / steward / bar-steward depending on whose point of view you take . It's a Halloween party so who knows what'll be waiting for us when we arrive.
