Spent yesterday in town with daughter and grandchildren. Forecast for today was carp, but it turned out a nice day. Actually got the lottie and planted out my shallots and onions that have been sitting in celltrays in the cold greenhouse. Loads of weeds growing, managed to get some of the big ones out, daughter helped a bit and grandson found loads of worms. Broad beans are carp, esp Sutton - won't bother overwintering again. They have flowers, but the plants are very windblown and spindly. Got home feeling really chuffed with myself and discovered another two trays of onion sets to go out!!
