Current garden situation.

It is brilliant, we've now moved in with my parents so have a large garden to work with. It will be hard bringing the garden back into order. The soil is very sandy and needs lots of organic matter incorporating. I want to work organically too as I feel it is really important to work with the environment and don't want chemicals getting into our bodies.

We did add loads of spent mushroom compost last year, which has started to help, but previously very little organic matter has been...

We haven't put the table and umbrella away yet - I'll ask...

Another Update

The next glasshouse has been ordered from Perity's, a 13ft wide by 40ft 6" long dutch light timber framed house. With increased length roof and side panels, auto vents and toughened safety glass. Installation due middle of Feb-09.

We seem to have a serious problem with the base of the 20 x 10 rhino. It turns out that the contractors that laid the base didn't use the correct ratio of sand to cement and also didn't degass it. This has resulted in sections of the base cracking away...
