    Well it's a very slow process. I had hoped the beds would be finished by now, but unfortunately my brickie who is lovely (OH's nephew) is very slow so at the moment only have the internal walls of 2 beds completed. This week rain has stopped play. In more ways than one!

    I Have started to fill one bed, but it's hard work, and I need to salvage soil from other parts ...

    Well two of the beds now have complete internal walls. Will try to fill one of them with soil over next 3 days, need somewhere to plant out all my potted plants. The morning glory is flowering in its little 3" pots, looking a bit sorry for itself. The sweet peas are beginning to get tangled up.
    The coriander was looking very sad, but is coming on now. 6 of 50 freesias have popped their heads out of the soil, am eagerly awaiting the rest.
    Hanging baskets look a bit sad the petunias ...

    This entry will end up being quite long so as to bring everything up to date.
    We moved into our lovely new home in November 2012. Loads of lovely big space to design the perfect garden in. Having said that, it is actually quite daunting to design a garden on a blank canvass when you are a rank amateur.
    It was a shock however to discover 90% of the garden is concrete, with just some mounds of lawn. So raised beds is the only answer.

    Planted out Scarlet globe seedlings
    Sowed new Dahlia Yams inside (last lot cooked in greenhouse)
    Sowed 24 peas
    Given a big bunch of meadowsweet, split and planted in wet garden
    Sowed a new batch of NZ spinach


    Weekend jobs
    audit salads and roots
    Sow pot of coriander
    Sow Mizuna, Rocket, leaf salad in patiogro
    Patio furniture out
    plant of beetroot seedlings
    Sow boltardy
    Plant azalea and move bedding ...
