The strawberry plants arrived during the week. The weather forecast was wet, wet, wet for the weekend, typical!!
Saturday morning dawned dry, so went down to the allotment and planted out 36 strawberry plants, Royal Sovereign, Marshmello, Mae and Florence.
Also had a good bonfire as there was no wind.
Had a general tidy on the allotment then went for a walk around the nature reserve. Saw and heard some Great Tits, saw Robins, Blue Tits and heard a pheasant.
Then the rain...

Went to the allotment today to check on my peas. I planted a Victorian climbing pea last November and grew them on in a poly tunnel. Planted them out last weekend when the weather was fab. We had snow this week & I feared the worst. But only one plant had slight frost damage on the tip. All others doing well.
Also started some early carrots, radish, broad beans and more peas in the poly tunnel.

Did some more digging and turned the compost heap.

Bought seed...
