It is two degrees colder here than where i work, woke up to a Winter wonderland and by the time i had got to school there wasn't a flake in sight.
Suppose it is cause we are that bit further east here.

Just spent the last hour trying to peg out my plot, bent stakes, metal and wood, blistered my hand and ended up putting stakes where i could push them into the sheet metal that is masquerading as my lottie soil!
Tad cold out there, should have headed temp gauge in car but no, i needed to do that today. -4 no problem!!
The beds look quite artistic as a result, no if i am honest they just look a mess. Better wait until it is a tad warmer next time, off to defrost by the fire.

After hearing about all the sales going on, off to see if anything left!!
Sun has been shining here this morning which was good to see.
Off to see what 'bargains' i can find, must be careful though, you know the old adage your eyes are bigger than your tummy, well i have a similar problem, compost bags, tools and plants are bigger than my mini!! Glad no one had a video camera the other day as i tried to cram new plants etc into my compact motor, how many garden tools and gardening...

Just seen the time, i must be bonkers sitting here this late talking about veg, just need to get on my plot now, bit dark though.

Managed to get a half plot at the back end of last year. Had to wait for the old fella who had previously had it to move the last of his veg off one end and to clear the nettles, old crates and six foot high grass off the other.
Kept me out of mischief for a couple of weekends, i found some very good compost bins, a wheel barrow and a nice watering can for my efforts too!
Have planned the plot, ordered my seeds, read the books and after christmas have the pink gloves, new spade and...
