Poking through:
four potato sprouts (not Rocket, the other ones, in pots)
four of the 'blue bulb' collection (in pots)

Blooming:
Daffs
Plum tree flowers (25% opened)

Growing:
Clematis, needs watching, having to tie, producing lots of new strong growth)

Planted out:
Nasturtiums (grown on windowsill, now in bed, only a small one, its an experiment)

Yet to plant:...

I've found the packet my 'blue collection' came in and what I have are:
10 Gladiolus 'plumtart'
2 Daliah 'veritable' and
18 Brodiaea 'queen fabiola'

I've just brought them inside as there is to be frost for the next couple of days. One of them is sprouting already as are two of my potatoes. I don't want all my hard work to be lost to the elements. I thought we'd be past frosty mornings by now.

Monday 3rd March.

Day off work and the gardens are looking good, although there are quite a few pots with potatoes in looking bare because they haven't started to grow yet. Bulbs too are waiting to sprout. I have pot with a blue mix which I bought when we visited Wisley a week or so ago. I have put my crocusiem (sp?) outside now and my daffs are looking lovely, though I don't think they've ALL come up, I do have a good show.
I have continued to hoe and today I mowed the lawns...

Sunday 10th March today. Warm and spring like and couldn't wait another week to plant something so I potted up two potatoes (just maincrop from the kitchen which had chitted well). I put one each into a big plant pot covered by two inches of compost. The ones I bought are still chitting slowly in the front bedroom. I also planted 10 flowering summer crocus bulbs into the planters I bought two weeks ago. Because of the squirrell problem I have put them into the downstairs lounge to stop them...
