Jolly July....

Well, I have to say that I'm very proud of my little garden this summer. Its been hard work, and still takes up a lot of time mowing and watering but other than that there's not much to do but sit back and enjoy. And we do - we're out there every evening, sipping fizz in between waterings (I use a two gallon can) and helping the honeysuckle (for that's what it is) to find its way sideways - it wants to go over the fence but I'm not having it. The rose too it almost 5ft against the trellis and the rambler in a pot is also planted at the back wall. Mmmm.. talking of which - we made a woodpile earlier in the year to encourage endangered stag beetles - lord knows why, I actually saw one on the shed door the other day and screamed like a girl - I don't actually like the things but DH says we have to do our bit.
