.. we've been to the US for 18 days and we must have had some sun and not much rain here because the pots were all dry, the grass has grown a lot, the honeysuckle has gawn' sprawling over next doors fence and the nasturtiums have gotten really large (we should have pulled them before we left). There are blackfly all over the gladioli and my poor potted fern looks like it is dead (I've put it into a container full of water). My Lilac too was in dire need of a long drink. Indoors there is a mountain...

Later we're off to Battle to stay with Di overnight but this morning has been productive. We've finished planting the bamboo and then put 20 crocus bulbs at the back near the tree. There's autumn crocus there now, that came from nowhere - I certainly didn't plant it. Soon the cyclamen will come and then next year the daffs and (today's) crocus. Its a busy area, well I hope it will be, if the squirrels don't get them all.

I originaly searched about posting a picture to my blog - I did it once and now have forgotton how I did it! Anyway I've made an album. If you look you can see how small my garden is.

Got wed and dirty today bringing home two large 'vases' to put the bamboo in and then planting them in the rain. One finished, the other one waiting for more compost.

Looking out of the window now at 7.50pm and its dark and cold and raining hard. Up until three days ago we were sitting...

It seems however small I think the garden is there's still room for more. Our latest aquisition is bamboo; two plants and tall too. Today we're going out to buy a big planter to put them in; they're falling over in the small pots we brought them home in because they're long and leggy. Pity about the weather, its rain and more rain and wind to come and we go on holiday on Thursday for 18 days (!!). It will be very interesting to see what we come back to - lots of tidying up I should expect. ...
