The radishes however are coming on stormingly (sorry for the pun), no activity on the springies or the peppers yet but the strawbleberries are looking good, reckon to have got about 65% germination too!

Well I'm utterly amazed.. the lettuce and raddish plants that I sowed on Saturday have started to sprout.. after only 4 days!!!! don't think I've ever had anything come through this quickly :-)

Still worried that it's a little bit early so will be starting another batch of 4 off in a couple of weeks, hopefuloly if I can keep on doing that will have a nice supply of lettuce right through the summer and beyond. Really must get that coldframe put together and on the bottom bed this...

oh woe is blueberry...

Got to see the garlic in daylight as well, it's coming on great guns so well happy with that, plus the frost we had last night will do them some good.

Week 4 - at it again..

Posted 24-01-2008 at 01:23 PM by Herbgardener
I couldn't help myself.. honest I couldn't guv'ner, they were just there on the shelf, if I hadn't have done it someone else would, I bought some cayenne pepper, cos lettuce and perpetual spinach today.. Never tried growing lettuce before but think I might just try some early in the greenhouse - you never know, especially with the weather patterns we've been getting.

The cayenne can join the jalapeno's from last year, so this year we'll have the sweet californias, the sweet minis...
